2017 Grant Recipients

The United Way of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks and Area works with many agencies and organizations to enhance the quality of life for residents in the community.

COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS

These grants are awarded to programs in the focus areas of Education and Wellness and aim to help children achieve their maximum potential and improve people's health.

A Grant Review Committee assessed these grant requests and had the opportunity to contact agencies to discuss the applications in person. Agencies were then notified to set up a date and time to meet with the committee.

2017 Recipients
 

POVERTY FOCUSED GRANTS

  • Programs primarily aimed at assisting individuals and families who are IN poverty as defined by the U.S. Federal Guidelines (individuals earning $12,000/year or less or a family of four earning $24,000/year or less), or at 200% of poverty (individuals earning $24,000/year or less or family of four earning $48,000/year or less)
     
  • Programs that are primarily aimed at assisting clients to move OUT of poverty and becoming financially stable.

A Grant Review Committee assessed these grant requests and had the opportunity to contact agencies to discuss the applications in person. Agencies were then notified to set up a date and time to meet with the committee.
