Six Pacesetter Organizations Set Goal to Raise $21,158 For The United Way!
Employees from the Alerus Center, Bank Forward/Insure Forward, Grand Forks County & Social Services, Ideal Aerosmith, Salvation Army and Sterling Carpet One set an outstanding pace for the 2009 fund-raising campaign for the United Way of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks and Area, raising $21,158 under the guidance of Pacesetter coordinator Alan Bye and account executives Laura Jacobson and Matthew Brewster from Alerus Financial.
Six organizations participated in the Pacesetter Campaign this year. These organizations ran their employee campaigns early, striving for a 20% increase and achieving a 38% increase in employee giving. The Pacesetters used proven strategies; United Way presentations with agency speakers, special events including a pancake breakfast and hula hoop contest, and incentives such as Jeans Day for United Way, to make their campaigns informative, creative and fun. Their generous donations have set the pace for the rest of the community.
United Way is advancing the common good in our community by focusing on Education, Income and Health. To accomplish this United Way raises and distributes funds to participating partner agencies and provides direct services to the local community through direct service programs such as Undies Sundays and Toys for Tots.
Our $1,000,000 campaign is now under way and the needs in the local area are greater than ever. Your support is greatly needed and appreciated. Please Give. Advocate. And Volunteer. Thank you. |
