meet our new president/ceo
We are pleased to welcome Dave Sena to the United Way team!
Dave has extensive experience working in the nonprofit community, and has established himself as a strong fundraiser. He has worked with the New Life Center in Fargo since 2014, and was instrumental in the Center being the first organization to raise more than $1,000,000 on Giving Hearts Day. And as Director of the Northland Rescue Mission in Grand Forks from 2001-2014, Sena transitioned the Mission from a struggling homeless shelter with minimal staff and an income of $350,000 to a highly functioning organization with an income of $1.4 million. Grand Forks Mayor Michael Brown awarded him the Key to the City of Grand Forks for his efforts.
Dave is also the founder of Bold Leading, a company that provides coaching and assistance to nonprofits.
He holds a BS in Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy, and served as a project lead and Master Instructor for the Air Force.
In his role as President/CEO, Dave will focus on advancing United Way’s mission to build pathways toward prosperity and equity for all by increasing access to stable housing, healthy food, a strong education, and jobs.
